Youth Foundation & Recruitment

Our recruitment in 2009 and 2010 has gone very well with excellent attendance at our trials and we now have coaches in place to commence training in several areas in the county.  The Newquay team Junior Varsity Sharks trains on a Saturday and has its first competitive games scheduled for this year.  We are activity recruiting now for the following teams:

St. Ives, Penzance, Truro, Wadebridge & Launceston.  Please give us a call to discuss.

One of the most encouraging aspects has been the high attendance of youth players who take part in all the fitness tests and train alongside the senior team.

The Peninsula Foundation of American Football should come into its own in 2010 bringing youth players from all over the county together to play each other at american football.

These grassroots teams will be the future of the Cornish Sharks and as such, the youth are given the highest respect by the adult players and many of them train with the seniors at our sessions held on Sundays in addition to their Saturday training..
